Field Supporting Work:
Taking a break from the project to focus on some photography work and find some direction:
Week one was about looking into artists that work through video. Here are some of the artists that were discussed:
In order to arrive at our outcome we created sketches and spider diagrams. We shall be creating a ceramic book and placing it on a plinth. Inside this book there shall be an ipad. On the ipad there will be illustrations which correlate to a video that is displayed via projection behind the book. As you press the ipad, the projection will come on. I shall be working on the video with Andy as that is where my specialities lie.
We then created a timetable for our work
Then Friday we had our meeting, which I have already blogged about. After getting good feedback on Tuesday, I am feeling very positive about the work.
We began our group work through finding out each members strengths and weaknesses. Through this we were able to brain storm ideas.
On the second day of the group work, we created a site specific piece that described our work. We chose a web as it showed the idea of connectivity and identity which we decided would be the focus of our work.
Although we enjoyed working together and finding out one anothers strengths and weaknesses, we realised that the making of the web was handled poorly as we over-complicated matters.
